“Forgiving is the best policy.”

  • Suffering made Mandela’s heart softer. Unlike many others, he was able to forgive the ones who put him in prison for almost 30 years and did his best to make them feel at home in a black people’s land.

“The power of inspiration.”

  • Mandela was certainly an inspiration for many people in the world. He himself believed you need inspiration to get through in life and managed to pass this message to the captain of the Springboks, who led the team to victory.

“The importance of sports.”

  • Sports can make a huge difference. What happened in South Africa is a great example of this: with the help of the President and the captain of the team, the Springboks’s victory brought a whole nation together.
