Robot in Factory Challenge

The final challenge of the eTwinning Code4Kids project: Program Your Robot in the Factory!
The most eagerly awaited moment of the project has arrived: the final challenge! After months of exploration, learning and programming, we now present a mission that will test your creativity and Open Roberta programming skills.

The challenge: the robot in the factory.

Imagine a mat representing the floor of a factory with a clearly marked black line — this is where your robot will travel. But be careful — along this route, the robot will encounter colour codes that are strategically placed on the line. Each colour has a meaning and will instruct the robot to perform a specific task.

  • Turn on a light!
  • Beep
  • slow down
  • speed up

The aim is to programme the robot using Open Roberta so that it follows the black line with the colour sensor and performs the corresponding action when it detects each colour code, thus demonstrating conditional logic and computational thinking.
