The activity “Read with the family” was promoted by the partner schools in an interaction between the library!school and the families. Students and families came together around reading and the importance of books for everyone.
Scientific evidence has underlined the important role of families in education, with a relevant focus on activities that facilitate emergent reading and make possible moments of reading together. It has been proven that the earlier books and reading aloud enter children’s lives, the better.
Reading is one of the most important capacities of human beings and one of the main conditions for learning. In this context, the school and family have an added responsibility as to how they can jointly promote the acquisition of reading skills and make every child a reader for life.
